Payment methods compared
Five categories cover almost every cashier in the industry. This page is about choosing one that works in both directions, so you never have to think about banking again.
The comparison
| Category | Deposits | Payouts | Best for | Main drawback |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Debit cards | Instant | Usually supported | Simplicity — one method, both directions | Bank-level blocks on gambling merchants |
| Credit cards | Instant | Sometimes | Convenience only | Borrowing to gamble; possible cash-advance fee |
| E-wallets | Instant | Usually the quickest | Frequent players who withdraw often | Must be in your own name; some bonuses exclude them |
| Bank transfer | Hours to days | Reliable, slow | Large amounts | Business days only; no weekend movement |
| Crypto | Minutes | Where offered | Speed and self-custody | Volatility and network fees are entirely yours |
| Vouchers / prepaid | Instant | Not possible | Strict budget control | You still need a second method to be paid |
Which brands appear inside each category depends on the country registered to your account and changes as payment partners come and go. The cashier screen is the only accurate list; this page describes categories, not guarantees.
Category by category
The default, with a caveat
A debit card is the path of least resistance: everyone has one, deposits are instant, and in most markets payouts can return to the same card. The caveat is your bank. Gambling transactions carry a specific merchant category code, and plenty of banks decline it by default — some let you switch that in their app, some do not. If your card is declined, that is a conversation with your bank, not with the casino. Credit cards add a second problem: many issuers treat gambling as a cash advance, which starts charging interest immediately and adds a fee on top of it.
The choice of regular players
Wallets sit between your bank and the casino, which does two useful things: your bank statement stays cleaner, and payouts usually land faster because the wallet is the last mile rather than the banking system. The requirements are that the wallet must be registered in your own name and verified on its own terms, and that some deposit-match promotions exclude wallet funding — a rule to check before claiming an offer, not after.
Slow, dependable, unglamorous
Direct transfers handle larger sums without the per-transaction ceilings that cards and wallets impose, and they are the least likely route to be declined. The cost is time: they move on business days, so a Friday-evening request may sit until Monday, and the intermediate steps are invisible while it does. For a substantial withdrawal that you are not in a hurry for, this is often the calmest option.
Fast, and entirely your responsibility
Where offered, crypto is quick in both directions and sidesteps bank blocks altogether. In exchange you take on the risks: an address typed wrong is money gone permanently, network fees spike with congestion, and the value of your balance moves while it sits. Copy addresses, never type them, send a small test amount the first time, and remember that price movement between deposit and withdrawal is yours to keep or to lose.
A budgeting tool, not a payment method
Prepaid vouchers are genuinely useful for one thing: you cannot spend more than the voucher. They cannot receive payouts, so treat them as a deposit-only budget lock and register a payout-capable method separately before you need it.
Match it and forget it
Every mismatch between your account currency, your card currency and the casino's processing currency inserts a conversion, and every conversion has a spread. Choosing the account currency you actually hold is a one-off decision that quietly saves money forever.
Fees, limits and the things that surprise people
Nobody reads a fee schedule for pleasure, so here is the short version of where money quietly leaks. Currency conversion is the biggest one: if your card is in one currency and your account in another, every deposit and every payout crosses a spread, and the spread is set by whoever does the converting rather than by the casino. Matching the two at registration is a one-off decision that pays out forever.
Credit-card cash-advance fees are the second. Many issuers classify gambling transactions as a cash advance, which means an immediate fee plus interest that starts the same day, with no grace period. That can make a modest deposit meaningfully more expensive than it looked, and it is charged by your bank, so the casino cannot reverse it.
| Where a fee can appear | Charged by | How to avoid it |
|---|---|---|
| Currency conversion | Bank, wallet or casino processor | Match account and payment currency |
| Cash-advance charge | Credit card issuer | Use a debit card or a wallet instead |
| Network fee | Blockchain | Withdraw larger amounts less often; avoid congested periods |
| Wallet withdrawal to bank | The wallet provider | Batch transfers out of the wallet |
| Instalment splitting | Casino payout limits | Ask support for the schedule; it is usually policy, not a fee |
Per-transaction minimums and maximums exist on every route and differ by country, provider and sometimes by account status. They are displayed in the cashier at the moment you pick a method, which is the only place they are guaranteed to be current — this is why no figures are quoted here. If a payout exceeds a method's ceiling, the usual outcome is that it is paid in instalments rather than refused; the payouts page covers what that looks like.
How to choose in thirty seconds
-
Ask how often you will withdraw
Often, in small amounts: an e-wallet. Rarely, in larger amounts: bank transfer. Occasionally, without wanting a new account anywhere: your debit card.
-
Check it works in both directions
Open the cashier's withdrawal tab before depositing and confirm the method is listed there too. Thirty seconds now, several days saved later.
-
Register it in your own name
Every payment instrument attached to the account must belong to the account holder. This is not negotiable at verification.
-
Verify the account immediately
ID, proof of address, and evidence of the payment method. The payouts page has the full checklist.
Which method is fastest for payouts?
As a category, e-wallets, because they skip the slowest part of the banking chain. Real speed still depends on verification and review, which is why we describe the sequence rather than promise hours.
Can I use a payment method belonging to a family member?
No. Third-party payments are refused at verification and can put the account at risk.
Do payment methods affect bonuses?
They can. Some deposit-match promotions exclude particular wallets or prepaid routes. The current partner offer is a no-deposit one — see the free spins page.
Is crypto anonymous?
Not in this context. The casino still verifies your identity; the blockchain simply replaces the bank in the payment chain.
