The cashier: making a deposit

Depositing is the easiest thing you will do in a casino account, which is exactly why it deserves thirty seconds of thought. The route you choose here decides how — and how quickly — you get paid later.

01

The one rule that matters

Deposit with the method you want to be paid back to. Casinos generally return funds along the route they arrived on, for anti-money-laundering reasons. Deposit with a prepaid voucher and you will need a second, payout-capable method on file before you can withdraw anything at all.

Everything else on this page is detail around that single sentence. A card deposit is instant and familiar but may be declined by your bank; an e-wallet is instant and usually payout-capable but must be registered in your own name; a bank transfer is slow in both directions but handles large amounts calmly; crypto is fast and fee-variable and entirely your responsibility once it leaves your wallet. Vouchers and prepaid cards are deposit-only by design.

The second habit worth forming is to verify the account before you need to. Upload your ID and a proof of address on day one, when nothing is waiting on them. It converts a future payout from a multi-day process into a same-queue one, and it costs you five minutes at a moment when you are not impatient.

Which of these appear in your cashier depends on the country registered to your account and changes over time as payment partners come and go. The cashier screen itself is the only accurate list; treat the table above as the shape of the market rather than a promise. There is a method-by-method breakdown, including what each one is actually good at, on the payment methods page.

03

Depositing, step by step

  1. Sign in and open the cashier

It is normally behind a "Deposit" or wallet icon in the header. If you cannot sign in at all, the login page covers the usual causes.

  2. Pick the method you can also be paid to

See the rule at the top of this page. If you are going to use a wallet later, use it now.

  3. Enter an amount you have decided on in advance

Not the amount the interface suggests. Preset buttons are a nudge, not a recommendation.

  4. Complete the authentication

Card deposits usually trigger a 3-D Secure step from your bank — an app prompt or a one-time code. It will fail silently if you dismiss the app notification, so keep the phone to hand.

  5. Check the balance before playing

If a promotion is attached, confirm whether the funds landed as real or bonus balance. The difference decides what you are allowed to withdraw later.

04

Budgeting at the cashier

The cashier is the only screen in a casino where you make a decision with a number attached, so it is the right place to enforce a budget. Two mechanisms exist and they work differently: the deposit limit you set in account settings, which is a hard ceiling the software enforces, and the amount you type today, which is a decision you make while already in the mood to play. The first is worth more than the second.

Set the limit first

Deposit limits per day, week or month live in account settings. They take effect immediately when tightened and slowly when loosened — deliberately, so that a limit cannot be raised in the middle of a bad session. Setting one before your first deposit costs nothing and removes the decision entirely.

Use one method, not four

Spreading deposits across a card, a wallet and a voucher makes the total invisible. A single funding route keeps the month's number countable on one statement, and it keeps payouts simple because the return path is never in doubt.

Watch the interface nudges

Preset amount buttons, "recommended" deposits and one-tap repeat funding all exist to raise the average. None of them are dishonest; all of them are designed. Type the amount you decided on before you opened the page.

Know what the money becomes

If a promotion attaches to a deposit, part of your balance becomes bonus money with conditions on it. Confirm which is which before playing — the free spins page explains how a wagering requirement changes what a balance is worth.

One more practical point about statements: gambling deposits appear on your bank statement with a merchant name that may not resemble the casino's brand at all, because payments are routed through processors. That is normal, but it means reconciling a month's play requires the casino's own transaction history rather than your bank's. Both exist; the account history is the accurate one, and it is worth reading occasionally even when nothing has gone wrong.

05

When a deposit fails

"Declined by issuer"

Your bank blocked it, not the casino. Many banks block gambling merchant codes by default, and some let you toggle that in their app. A different card or an e-wallet is the fast workaround.

3-D Secure loop

The authentication window opens and returns you to the cashier with nothing changed. Clear the browser cache, disable pop-up blocking for the site, or complete the deposit in the bank app first.

Name mismatch

The payment method must belong to the account holder. A partner's card or a wallet in another name will be refused, and using one anyway risks the account.

Money left the bank but no balance

Usually a pending authorisation rather than a completed charge. Take a screenshot with the timestamp and reference, then contact support — that is exactly the case live chat handles well.

Limits and fees

Minimums and maximums per transaction exist on every method and vary by country and provider; they are displayed in the cashier at the moment you choose the method. Casinos commonly do not add their own deposit fee, but your bank, card issuer or crypto network may — a credit-card cash advance fee is the one that surprises people most often. We do not publish specific limit or fee figures here because they differ per market and change without notice; the cashier screen shows the numbers that apply to you.

Can I deposit in a currency other than my account currency?

Usually yes, but a conversion happens somewhere — at the casino, your bank or your wallet — and someone charges for it. Matching account and payment currency avoids the spread.

Does a deposit trigger verification?

It can, especially for larger amounts or a new method. Uploading documents early makes this a non-event.

Do I need to deposit to use the free-spins offer?

No — the partner promotion is published as a no-deposit bonus (30 FS NDB, 45x wagering). The free spins page has the detail.
